Unit III:
Period 4 (1800-1848)

In this unit we will discuss America coming of age. This starts with the Revolution of 1800 and the election of Thomas Jefferson and continues through the expansion of our borders, economy, and standing in the world. We will continue to explore the role of the President and the expanded rights of people. We will look at Westward expansion motivations and the new social movements sweeping the country.
